You know that purple one in the glass bowl isn't an orchid, right ? *lol*
Don't worry...just teasing...I have far more non-orchids than orchids myself.

Yes it's a Renanthera monachica. I grow it the same way as my hybrid vandas. high light, daily watering and weekly fertilizer. They can bloom at a very small size. I think at least four pairs of leaves.

I just recently acquired the venustum. I keep it moist in intermediate temps under medium light. Thanks!

Oh, hanzy- I have a monchica also!! Its my only reanthera. Mine is probably getting medium light, I will up it then! Thank you. Some of my smaller baby vandas got very sunburned so I was worried about doing the same to my monachica. I almost lost all my leaves on the others, luckily they recovered.

Just make sure that you acclimate slowly and then adjust as needed. Can't wait for mine to bloom. Goodluck with your renanthera and baby vandas!!
