Hi guys! I have a few questions about my NOID phals Female
Default NOID phals, partial keikis, and crown rot?

Hey everybody!

I have a few questions today.. I visited one of my favorite growers today at her monthly spot at a local flea market and picked up some gorgeous phals! Although I am not normally a fan, I managed to come home with SEVEN, one she gave me for free.

A few of them seemed to have sprouted partial keikis, as there are a couple instances of leaves as the spike grew, only to continue into buds. I thought this was a little out of the ordinary, which obviously peaked my interest enough to bring them home. Will these ever grow into full keikis? Or will they just stay leaves?

The phal she gave me for free was one that she took off the table because she noticed a problem with it - the actual plant seemed wobbly, and appeared to be rotting. I liked it so much due to the excessive branching and sheer amount of blooms on the spike! She gave it to me so I can enjoy the flowers until the plant gave up. But the roots are healthy! Healthier than most roots I've seen. Is there a possibility that the roots could produce more leaves? They're lovely and green and firm, and the flowers themselves are gorgeous :-)
