I struck gold! (Not literally)
The Trader Joe's in Davis, CA usually don't carry orchids other than phals, so imagine my surprise when I found a handful of intergenerics. All of these did not come with tags, but having grown them before, I could easily ID them. They were Oncidium Tiger Crow 'Golden Girl', Beallara Tahoma Glacier, and two Oncidium Sharry Baby. There was a few intergenerics I could not ID. I couldn't buy all of them, so I just bought the Oncidium Sharry Baby. If anyone is interested, this is the Trader Joe's in the Stonestown Galleria mall in San Francisco. The larger orchids go for $12.99 and the smaller ones go for $8.99.

Well gosh, I have to say I like them all! I haven't been into a Trader Joe's in a LONG time, so I'm just going to stick to not buying anymore NoIDs and steer clear of discovering the orchids in a store near me...
That said I hear/see people on here ALL the time sharing the non-Phal chids they found at their TJs, Lowes & Home Depot. Meanwhile I've never seen anything but Phals! (Sad, sad...alas this fact saves my wallet...) So thanks for sharing, it's nice to see what wonderful surprises people encounter.

The trader Joes in Pleasanton, had quite a few different ones. That's where I got my 2 Paphs, and my little baby Phals. I noticed today they got NOID Cymbidiums, and they're Paphs DO HAVE TAGS

I've come across some paphs at most TJ's I've been to. I forgot the exact name, but it was a maudiae type paph with a Napa Valley cultivar in its lineage. These usually come with tags, but the ones I've recently seen did not come with any.
I found a Miltoniopsis Yosemite Sam 'Pink Momma' the other day and I just couldn't pass it up. I haven't had much success with growing Miltoniopsis before, but I'm experimenting with a new media this time.

I love the unknown one. I'm so envious of you american growers having access to stores that carry such a selection of orchids.

The garden centers near me rarely have anything other than noid Phals, Dens, Paphs and a few Catts. I went last week to get something un orchid related, and discovered that they had Onc Sharry Baby, Howeara Lava Burst and a few other named intergenerics. I was drooling over the Lava Burst. I already have a small one, but these are gonig to be hard to pass up. They are large plants, 4-5 spikes and only cost 10€...
