It's always best to repot when the orchid is actively growing, usually when new roots are starting to appear. This is typically in the spring (but not always). My repotting schedule depends on the media but is usually 2-3 years. Hope this give you a little guidance.

Yes, that was helpful. They are still growing, strangely enough. They've been putting out new roots and pbulbs like CRAZY this summer. I will examine them, and I guess depending on what I find I'll hold off on the repotting. That said, the one with the slugs living inside of it -- I think I'll repot that one just to be safe because they were tangled up in the roots and media. I'm not particularly attached to that specific plant anyway, so if it gets cranky, oh well.
