orchid tree stand
I am looking for an orchid tree stand. I've seen one in an online supplier, but it is way too expensive for worth. It could accomodate up to 20 orchids. Has anyone seen any or know of a source that is reasonable? I have lots of space upwards and want to utilize it. Thanks! Greg keeping warm in suddenly chilly Tampa Bay :-((
Hi Greg, I have seen at Home Depot a clay pot holder that was made from a tree branch. I was about 5-1/2 ft. tall the base was a wide clay pot with the branch standing in the middle they poured concrete around the branch and topped it with Chattahoochee rock they then had metal rings that were screw into the branch at different levels that will hold clay pots. Maybe this can give you a idea to make your own. 20 plant will need a big branch.
Don't know how much you are wanting to spend but Barn Orchid Supply in Delray Beach has a stand. Green Barn Orchid Supplies I bought one and am posting it in my gallery The way it is made will hold more than 20 plants. There are 4 levels on mine with 4 loops on each. The design makes it easy to hold smaller pots inside or mounted chids. I even had talked to an iron welder and his would only hold 16 and nothing else because of the design. I love mine.
