I agree.. it sounds like crown rot. Maybe by having it in the bathroom the humidity was too much with little ventilation and water accumulated in the crown without you noticing
. Or maybe, it was already sick when you got it, it happens!
You can try and use Hydrogen Peroxide pouring it freely in the crown; if it bubbles, you have an infection. You can repeat this treatment daily until no bubbles appear. Just be sure to place the orchid where it gets good ventilation and avoid watering through this process. Maybe it can be saved!!
