Mischievous cats!! You can apply red pepper sprinkles near or on top of the media, the smell will itch their noses (not harm them) and they won't like it.
For the damaged leaves, besides cutting as suggested, I would spray them with alcohol just in case to prevent infections.

Ouch!
That reminds me of a T-shirt slogan I once saw:
"I like cats . . . but I can never eat a whole one by myself"
(Keep calm - I am both a cat & dog person. I bear no ill will toward cats)

Rascally kitties! My furrbaby always put a fang mark on one leaf of every new plant I brought home until I moved them out of his reach. I think he was jealous of the attention I gave them. Now he gets his own kitty oats to keep him out of trouble.

Out of curiosity, are there any orchids which are poisonous to cats and dogs?

Awwww,I'm sorry for that
Anyways, you must cut the leaves that are shredded or else the orchid might get diseases.cut it only from the point where it was shredded and not. Though I think it's fine! It will still live as long as you give it sufficient water so that dehydration will not add to the problem.though you can use a high nitrogen fertilizer so that the foliage may go back again like 20-10-10 is ok.nitrogen is for foliage
Well,I hope it will survive...have you repotted it yet? If not, maybe not now. You can repot it when you see new growth like leaves, roots, keikis, etc.
I hope it will survive....but I'm sure it will...

I echo Karen's post as I'm also in Florida and keep my plants outdoors. They do come in when blooming but are kept high and out of kitty's reach. He will chomp any plant he comes into contact with so he has his own kitty grass and that keeps him happy. Nevertheless, I wouldn't trust him around an orchid!
