Could be. It doesn't look like a new root. Time will tell! Good luck!

Thanks Paphluvr!!!! I am really wondering whether it is a keiki or not because I am concern about the health of the plant (stressed or not stressed). I am a beginner (as said) and I repotted it two weeks ago and I really hope I did it well (had to cut some rotten rots). Thanks anyway!!!

I'm a beginner too but I just cut twin keikis from the top of my spike the other week. I left them there for over a year. I didn't know what they were either but at first they just looked like little buds coming out of the node then that turned into a leaf. My guess from what I can see in your pic is that it looks like what my keikis did starting out.

So sorry I don't have any advice for ya but I can share this little bit of my experience. My keikis started to develop around the time that my plant was stressed as well. My keikis grew their leaves, first & second within the first 6 months at least.

I hope yours does well, both plants. Keep us posted.

Cheers!
Lotis
