Default New to Orchids and some question.

BTW, this is not victoria reginae as was suggested earlier. VR has a star shaped flower with white centers that extend out into petals & sepals. It is also not a nobile type. Nobiles send their flowers out from the sides if the cane. Yours is flowering on a spike from the apex.

Hi people. So yeah, I've read through all your comments. Thanks for all the helpful info!

Just a few updates regarding the plant.

The last flower had just fallen off and the stalk turned yellowish, so I cut the stem right above the top most leaf.

Currently, there's two new sprouts growing at the base. One of them is growing quite fast and it's been only two weeks since I noticed it.

Here's a picture of it now:

So apparently, my plant was doing alright. I guess it was just getting used to it's new environment.

Btw, since it's now growing new sprout, should I water it as usual (i.e: Once a week) or should I increase the frequency (i.e: Twice a week)?

On top of that, when should I start feeding it with fertilizer (or I think it's referred to as Orchid food or something)?

With regards to re-potting the plant, there are roots tangled all around the bark which came with the plant when I got it. If I were to re-pot the plant, how should I untangle the roots. Also, how should I position the roots in the new bark? Do I stuff them in between the new barks?
