Went to the Florist cause I had to send flowers. That taken care of, I should have left, but it was sooo beautiful, a sea of flowering plants and a wonderful smell in the air. I was wandering up and down the aisles for a long time, trying to avoid the aisle where they always display the orchids. I finally caved and checked them out. I would've loved to take them all. I finally settled on a white Phal. All the tag says is Phal. Diana and some numbers. A couple of buds had blasted, but it looks to be a healthy plant.
Paph. wardii is still blooming and kept the down swept look, just like paphluvr said it would.
Paph. Pinocchio dropped its first flower, but the next one is in the making.
Phrag. Hanne Popow is on its second flower.

I wish we had a local florist that sold orchids...well, maybe not. I have very little resistance and am out of space. Sigh.

Leafmite, sounds like we're in the same boat! I keep telling myself NO MORE, no place to put them. I have to stay away from the flower shop, although I love going in there in the dead of winter, sit at the table, sip a cup of coffee and soak up the color and smell. I will have to build up my resistance to orchids though.

I love to visit greenhouses and conservatories. The air is so wonderful! I think that I am instinctively trying to turn my home into a tropical forest!
I have filled up every space, however, and my daughter's phal is sitting in the sink...no place to go until she returns to college. :0

So this was the one you told me about, is it? Golly. I can see why it told you to take it home with you. It's absolutely stunning, like a china doll made of the finest porcelain. And it has that kind of skinny species look if you know what I mean, which to me is so much more exotic than the typical fat-petaled phal hybrid you tend to see.

An excellent aquisition, bravo

I don't remember leaving a flower store without holding anything in my hands, ever! Even if it's just a pot. lol

By the way, I like your wardii.
