Need some info on Epidendrum Oellga(a)rdii

Hello all , I have recently got an Epidendrum Oellga(a)rdii, or at least that is what the tag says. Anyway, I have been looking on the internet and have only found one picture, from Ecuagenera, and no information on care or history . The label on the plant says Epidendrum Oellgaardii, but on the internet I have also seen it spelled Epidendrum Oellgardii. So can anyone tell me how to spell the plant correctly, how do I take care of it, or what is its history. The picture is of the plant. Help is allways appreciated .

I do know the epi.'s from my research are often referred to as *garden orchids* they grow okay in soil. I have a bifalce and stanforme that I have in a soil/lava rock/small bark mix for air...They seem okay thus far....

okay the only info I found was from the ecugenera so bright light, medium humidity and cooler to cool temps.

I had the same issue with my epidendrum bifalce I ordered was a pain in the tail feather. Sounds lime you and I have a thing for plants unknown. Lol

So bright east window, water before completely dries out. Does that help?

Oh and you can pull the *cool-cooler* temps in your climate lol!

Well you will find it here. I also use a small amount of seaweed extract. They reall thus far seem to like thus far. I am seeing developing new roots and no shock.

Epidendrum Oellgaardii is the correct name. It was discovered in Ecuador in 1993, So I would treat it C to I with med light, good water, and water it thoroughly and allow it to almost dry out. I would repot into course bark the some sponge rock and charcoal in a clay pot.
