Hello Island Girl, I didn’t find snail/slug trail around the plant. It has not progressively gotten worse after I moved it to east facing window. I regularly check on it. Photos are taken after repotting. My phone camera is also not so clear. Some parts of the perlite particles are white. I think that is what seen as white mold. This is the media I use for all my other orchids. I am little afraid to use wooden baskets since one of my neighbors has termite problems with wooden items in her garden.
Hello AnonYMouse, right now it is in full bloom. Two gorgeous flower spikes so I love to keep it inside the house until blooming is done.
All other orchids I have are mounted since they love it.
