I have a friend who always buys two of any orchid he really loves. He says it's insurance - if one doesn't make it, the other might.

Honestly If they had a variation of this orchid I would have gotten it in a heart beat. I only wish that I knew the name of it other then Phalenopsis because this orchid is so neat looking.

Angraecums and brassavolas are my weakness. White (or nearly so) flowers that all look very, very similar. I tell myself...'you know, you have enough of these white flowers'...but then I see another one at a show and it comes home with me. Your phal, at least, is unique and, I think, it is very beautiful. Don't try to buy orchids because they are what you think you should like, buy the ones you like! (And keep buying them, apparently, if you are like me).

Those are really beautiful. I might have to pick your brain for suggestions for my window sill orchid garden idea later on down the road!

Me too. I like the beauty of a pure white orchid, but I've seen several with chocolate blooms that really caught my eye. I'm actually considering finding a mini phal with a mint green bloom. I've seen a couple that are mint green with a pink center. The color combination just spoke to me and said "Cheerful!" But I wonder if those are dyed?
My mom saw these indigo blue orchids at wal-mart the other day and I was sure they were dyed as I have never seen photos of orchids that color on the board here.
