Robert's orchid supplies in Ohio has great bark mixes. I always use theirs. They have specific mixes for phals, catts etc. Just do a search under their name in Ohio and their website will come up. Resonable prices too.

I picked up Uni Gro Orchid bark from a nursery. It says 100% organic fir bark.

And how do the roots look? I trimmed off the squishy roots from the base before repotting. I did notice the bottom leaves actually do feel softer and more flimsy than the rest, didn't water it for like 3 weeks and it's been hot : ( my bad...

Not the best but you have some OK root and it looks like it has a chance. How big a pot did you use to pot it up. Tiny helps as it will then dry quickly and you can water more often.
