Lorna, I'm in a really similar situation. My "twins" aren't looking too hot right now. The mother plant looks just terrible having gone through a severe case of root rot. Now the spike the keikis are on looks like it is slowly drying up. The twins have some healthy looking roots, just not as many as I would like to transplant. But I guess if things get much worse I will have to take a chance on planting them early.

1 Living! ~ 1 Dying!
One month on (almost) I have taken pics of the development of the Two Keikis.
I have re-posted the first four pictures for you. That will lay the ground work to simply save you from jumping back to previous pages in this thread and scrolling up and down to find them. Aren't I good to you? Hee heee.
The second four pics are showing today's improved growth. Also the general shape and progress of the plant itself.
Lastly the final pic is showing how the second Keiki is not doing so well. It is really turning black where the spike is dying. I don't think this one is as likely to root and survive as it's brother on the second dying spike.
Disappointingly as well, the dying Keiki is the one I applied the Keiki Clone Paste to, the other one is a natural growth. Hhhmmmmm
Thanks for taking the time to read and look.
Lorna

Hi Lorna, I think the second keiki will survive, it has two roots coming out of it, so it might have time to develop further before the spike completely dies and frees this keiki. Don't give up hope!
BTW, off topic, that special pot you provide? I posted elsewhere that I am using this pot for one of my plants. That really is an awesome pot. My plant is doing very well in it. Thank you for sharing your info.

Yo Matty, Thanks so much for that Sir. Glad to have helped Me Luv.
The second Keiki doesn't have two roots Hun. That pic is the end or side on view of the leaves beyond the stem from that angle. There are no signs of roots at all. It is an optical illusion Sausage.
Good to see you again Young Man.

I see what you mean about the illusion.. So those two green prongs are the back edge of the leaf?

Did you apply keiki past before or after the keiki started growing? Usually it's something to prompt new ones to grow.
