How much light?
Question How much light?

I have some Phals. I have read in one article that they need a high light area but then I read inna different article where they are a low light orchid.... I am confused, I bought a light meter and my orchids now get about 500 for around 6 to 8 hours a day. Is that enough? I have not had any problems with them blooming and their leaves are dark green and look quite healthy. Maybe I am just a worrywart. LOL.... Thanks for any help.

They are low light orchids, not high light orchids.

It can be verified by pulling up videos and photos of orchids in the wild.

The Kerangas (Please scroll down, and you'll see photos of Phalaenopsis in the wild.) Thanks for the great videos and information. I have another question if you don't mind. As you can tell, I am new to growing orchids and I would like to 'branch out' from just Phals. I saw a picture of odontonia samurai and I was wondering if you knew anything about this orchid? I would like to get a few if they are not too difficult to grow. Thanks for the info.
