Question rooting brassavola

Hey,

While I brought home my shiny new brassavola nodosa, a small section of two leaves got torn off.
Was curious if you had any advice on how I could root this. So far I stuck it with my masdevallias after having the clump dipped in rooting powder.

Anything else I could do ?

Keep warm. Keep humid. Give plenty of light.

Hopefully it can grow roots, but it's not a guarantee.

If you still have the rest of the plant, focus on growing that portion. Leave this be, and don't put your focus on this little division.

I've had some success rooting such plants in semi-hydro. Then you can keep them in semi-hydro or transfer to a more conventional medium, as long as the new roots are still short and the medium is kept a little wetter initially.

Seaweed extract really helps with this.
