I grow my Aerangis citrata in a north facing window. I have read they tolerate "deep shade". Honestly, a number of "lower" light orchids bloom fine for me in that window, even some Phals.

I have read where a fair amount of people have had rot problems with this species - I let mine ( also mounted) drip off with the crown down after watering to be safe.

Nice plants I have an Epi Fantasy Valley 'Wakakusa' it would have been in bloom if I didn't knock the top off of itv I grow mine with as much light as possible. In a southern window (sliding glass door) over winter then outside full am sun. I also have Onc. Tsiku Marguerite. It is currently growing 6 spikes. I also have it in a southern facing window same as my epi. It's further back it also goes outside over summer months and morning sun only. Goodluck with your plants!

Thanks Sonya and Cheryl for the growing info. It helps to hear from other people about how they grow their plants.

I've got the Epi. and the Onc. in a south facing window, so hope they do well....I'd also read that Aerangis can have crown rot problems, so when I mounted it I set it with the grown angling slightly downwards to hopefully help prevent that....

My long term plan for all of these is to spend the summer outside in the dappled shade provided by the maple in front of the house.
