About your orchids sitting in water... If it works for you and your plants are healthy, just keep doing what you are doing, even if it seems contrary to some advice you've heard. You also should experiment with things.

About the see through pots... Phals don't have to be in clear pots, but I like to put them in clear pots because then the roots can photosynthesize and the roots seem to stay in the pot more. You'll probably get algae but that's ok. It doesn't seem to hurt the plants at all. I like to put all my orchids in clear pots, I even make pots out of bottles, medicine containers, and cups, as long as it is rigid platic and clear. I'll cut it to the height I want and then burn holes in the bottom with a very, very hot nail.

I wonder why yours does ok in so much water?
Bc I've also read like everywhere that Phals shouldn't be left in water.
Unless it's actually distressed and that's why it's sending out a keiki?

Well, maybe you can get a couple new plants out of it either way. If those aren2 keikis, they're like joined twins from what I can see.

Good luck!

Clear pots are good so you can see what's going on with the roots a little better too.
