Yeah, unfortunately they don't bloom all at once. I kinda don't mind though, because then you get to see more flowers later down the line from other buds or spikes, rather than have them all bloom all at once, and then have them all go out of bloom all at once.
In answering your other concern, the blooms lasting only about a week is pretty typical of this species. There's really not much to do in order to extend the life of the blooms.
And if you'd like another person to solidify that
Vanda (Neofinetia) falcata does re-bloom from the same fan; I'll be the second person on this thread to confirm that, yes, they do re-bloom from the same fan on a seasonal basis, from between the leaf axils from 1 or 2 leaves above where the inflorescence from the previous blooming season was.
