I would do some research into the two that interest you and then choose the one that you can best provide the correct growing conditions for. That one will likely be the easiest of the two since it will be getting requirements that it needs. good luck and have fun. This is just the beginning

Thanks I think I am going with the cochlioda I can provide for it better then the other. Come spring I will most likely have both. Thank you all for your help

Dendrobiums and oncidiums will give you gorgeous plants with lots of bloom spikes fairly quickly.
