Hydroton, Aliflor, and PrimeAgra are NOT synonymous!
Yes, they are all LECA, but the similarity stops there in a lot of important ways, such as shape, surface texture, pore patterns and size, wall thickness between pores, and the like. Those factors determine how they perform in use.
I can also tell you that while most brands are manufactured to be concrete aggregate and remarketed to the horticulture industry, PrimeAgra is the only one made specifically for it.

I'm experimenting on my phals with hydroton, so far those that are repotted into hydroton look alright, though they've yet to exhibit growth.
