My beloved little Vanda coerulea has become dormant on me. I have read on line that this is usual and not a problem - it is considered a good thing as it allows the vanda to produce larger and more long lasting blooms - but I have also read on line that this is a bad thing as it might eventually die
I am not sure which one to go with.
I have noticed that it developed a bit of leaf tip burn on the end of the newest leaf and that is when I learned about dormancy in Vandas.
The temperature in my house during the day is 24c -78f and at night it is about 10c - 50c. It gets good air movement and it is under a high powered daylight bulb which gives off 6500k.
I just hope that it won't eventually die on me, what else can I do?
