Do I cut droopy flowers?
Unhappy Do I cut droopy flowers?

So I am a SUPER newbie to orchids! I got my orchid about 3 weeks ago and the florist gave me instructions for watering every 10 days. I did this and some new buds bloomed, but in the past 2 days, 2 flowers have wilted. After reading many threads, I realized my plant was very dry, as the leaves seemed dry and droopy and one of them was cracked/split down the middle. I have rehydrated the plant and am going to monitor it to probably water every 7 days instead of 10, but what do I do about the flowers that have already wilted? Do I cut them off so I have the remaining beautiful blossoms and buds? Also, how long will it take my leaves to recover and get back to healthy green?

Thanks!!

The wilted flowers will drop on their own pretty quickly - or give them a gentle tug - if they don't come off easily, leave them til they do, or they fall off on their own

Older dehydrated foliage may not recover, tho if the problem has been corrected, new foliage should come in well, and stay that way.
