moth orchid ripped leaf

hi, this is the first time ive posted so here goes

...well ive brought a tester orchid from a supermarket its a moth orchid with a tear in its main leaf,its in flower with 3 large and lovely flowers (yellow with red spots) the plant seems to have taken nicely to its new home but the torn leaf seems to spoil its good looks, can i remove it...?
