deflasked my seedlings, do they look ok?
Hello,
Some of my phal seedlings started to touch the top in the flask and curl, so I deflasked them.
Pots are filled on 3/4 with large bark pieces and sphagnum moss on top.
I keep them in the propagation tray with dome to preserve humidity.
Do they look ok?

They look great, though I know nothing about de-flasking and growing on seedlings! If you don't get an answer here, maybe try the propogation forum?
What are they? It's interesting to see the different growth habits: was one parent a bigger plant than the other? Also notice some have narrow leaves and you have one with really round leaves in the top pot in the second photo.

Thank you Rowangreen.
It is Phal. Bedford Nonpareil (P. Penang Girl ‘Ching Ruey’ X P. Princess Kaiulani ‘Chin Yo’), so I guess leaves supposed to be roundish. Maybe they are narrow because they were crowded in the flask ![Don't Know](https://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

I don't know! I guess if it has any narrow-leaved ancestors it could pass down as a recessive trait?

Most Phalaenopsis seedlings have relatively thin, long, and narrow leaves compared to their parents. I have a different cross from Pat, (Sogo Hollywood x amboinensis), which still has some 'seedling' leaves that are long, thin, and narrow, but the recent few have been much more thick and round.

Ahh! So the new leaves will be rounder...
When did you deflasked your cross? Do you have pictures?
I am getting yet another flask from Pat - Phal. Hawaii Dragon Girl as an early birthday present.

I did not buy the flask, rather it was a freebie in one of my orders! It's leaf span is about 7" so it could bloom next year!

They look fine. Don't be surprised if some don't make it. Most of them look like they will do very well with good/proper care.
