Thank you Philip.
When should I start fertilizing them?
I use simple 20-20-20 fert at 1/4 strength for all my other orchids. Would that work for seedlings or you would suggest something else (available in Canada)?
Thanks again.

Default Just update on seedlings

They are still alive and growing. I water by misting the media and let the moss to dry out between waterings but keep them in the humidity trays. I use 20-20-20 fert at 1/4 strength.

Did you do the whole process yourself or did you send the seeds to a lab?

Silje, no, I just bought these two flasks from a local orchid vendor.
I never tried to pollinate any of my phals. Maybe some day...

Ok!

I've got a handful of pollinated seed pods growing and maturing on some of my NOID phals, as a first attempt at flasking, and I was curious about whether this is own production.

They're looking good! Keep us updated on the progress!

Wow, that's a lot of orchids! Interesting to see how variable they are too. I think you need to keep the one with frilly leaves in the bottom pic to see if the flowers turn out that way too *G*

congrats, they are looking good.
I really like Hawaii Dragon Girl ,thats a nice cross.
Also I am keeping tabs on which appear to be doing better in the photos - those in net pots or in unglazed ceramic. At this stage doesn't seem to be any preference, is that what you have found ?

Thank you very much for your comments and support everybody! These are my first flasks, so I am learning on my mistakes (one - I should have kept the Bedford Nonpareil in flask longer; two - I should have sorted them by size and pot the groups of the same size from the beginning).

Silje, good luck with your pods. Please post your procedure with flasking, I would like to learn it.

In the catalogue these flasks were listed as 20+ plants, but they contained much more than 20, and they were nice and healthy, it is a great vendor.

orchidsarefun, I didn't notice any difference in plants conditions. I use both net and clay for my mature plants too and only difference is - the net pots have to be watered a bit more often, because they dry out faster. Usually when my phals have root problems - I use net pots for those, it is better for them to dry out faster.
