Default Something on my Orchid ?

Howdy all

I dont have a very good rep with orchids and the one i do currently have was doing well. It growing buds in flower and started to send out a new leaf.

BUT

For some reason i looked turn on my touch today and was looking at the potting mix and plant and there seem to be very little maybe 2mm black top and silver bottem bugs running around on the potting mix. They dont seem to like the light and now worried as hell that they not doing my plant any good.

I been looking around on here and google and info seem to point to Thrips, BUT looking at photos and description off them, they dont seem to be the right colour can somone help please thanks ian

Sounds like Springtails to me. They are a sure sign it's time to repot. They aren't harmful to the plant.

I also think they may be Sringtails; there are a lot of different ones, but here is a link to pictures of Springtails: https://www.google.com/search?q=spri...w=1280&bih=681
