Really Silken? Ooh, I so want it to bloom so I may see!
It has made one heck of a recovery after being separated from it's colleague and the leaves are firm as they are supposed to be. It's partner in crime though, has done absolutely nothing since they were separated. It just stands there sulking... To be honest, I'm wondering if they are even the same hybrid since their leaves look so different. :scratchhead: Only time will tell I suppose. Thanks for the feedback guys! I highly appreciate it. |
I have a big named Phal that has sat for 6 months not doing anything visible. I think it was just getting established and maybe growing roots in the pot. Now finally a nub broke thru the very fleshy leaves and I am waiting to see what it is.
And yes, I have a number of purplish leaved Phals. They are mostly dark green (not from lack of light) and then purple tinge on edges or undersides, very dark purple spike and new leaves like yours that eventually turn mostly green. Just be sure the leaves aren't warm to the touch in the window as that is usually too much sun. |
