ROFL!!!! Well, I do have to say it has been therapy of a sort for me - it's been a really tough past few months - to the point that I'm starting to worry about the effects of stress on my overall health. But I saw the gigantea and I wanted it so badly that my wallet could not resist the urge to spend!
It is a few years away from blooming size which is why I was able to purchase it so cheaply. However, it is still rather large. After everyone gave me such great suggestions on the other topic I posted about not having much room, I've decided to drill some screws into the wooden frame of the guest bedroom and hang it in there.
I'm still excited to see what orchids I will be bringing home from the OS Christmas dinner too on Friday, lol...

Orchid therapy is good! I too want a gigantea, but it's, well, gigantic! I don't think I've ever seen an adult plant for sale, it's always seedlings. The first time I saw a full grown plant in person was at a show 2 months ago, and I was like It's enormous! The blooms smell amazing as well.
I hope you get yourself lots of new orchids on friday!
