OrchidWiz says your cross is composed of parentage that 99% of it requires low light and that it requires shaded conditions. It might be worth trying less light.

I will repot today and take pictures. I have not had any water analysis done, but the local OS has stated repeatedly that we have great water for growing orchids (around 7.5) but I don't know about TDS.
Doing distilled won't be a problem as I already do that for some of my more sensitive ones.

It might be best to go to distilled/tap water mix @ 90/10..... The TDS with fertilizer added and the build up in the mix may be too much. Fertilizer @ 75 PPM N once a week. Have you had any water analyst done?
This is a warm-Inter. plant..... 50-85, 50+% humidity

I agree with Keith on this.

OK, so I pulled it out of the pot - but sorry, no pictures as I was really in a rush to get things done.
To my horror, over half of the root system was dead! However, to my surprise there were two nice, fat healthy roots taking over the pot. I'm glad to have seen the difference between the two, because I did not know what healthy roots actually looked like on this one. All the other times I repotted, the roots were black looking - nothing like those healthy ones.
So, if I had to place a guess, I'd say that I must be doing something correct to have two massive and healthy roots growing. The fact that out of the 7 roots, only two were healthy now makes sense why the other leaves are dying back.
BTW, my other paph (non-maudie) has a bloom spike!!!! So, maybe there is hope for me to grow these yet!

BTW, another quick update. Apparently, despite the fact that I killed most of the roots, it has become quite happy with me. It has decided to reward me with a flower spike!!! Yes, that's right - a flower spike. I've seen tons of leaves grow on this thing, and then die off sadly, but as of today it is for sure a flower spike!!!! Now, if I can just not kill it before it blooms, lol...

Uh oh Paul, I'm sorry to say this .... but, I would not allow this paph to flower, this could very well be the end of that lil paph if you do - its just to weak with very little root system, it needs to put all its efforts into growing roots. Keep this lil guy real warm, to encourage faster growth at the root zone.
Sorry to be as party pooper

LOL... Lagoon, believe me, that thought certainly came to my mind as well. I've had a few other types of orchids that have done this as well, only to die once they bloomed.
Keithers, thanks for the website, I will have to check that place out.

Well it's growing a new fan, that's always a good sign. I'd still recommend cutting the spike off though.
