Default phalaenopsis dying!need help

. This is my first time posting on this site. I found a poor dying orchid at Lowes. It has no flowers, but flower spikes, limp leaves, and is really big. I picked it up out of pity but I want to know how to cure it. By the way, one of the leaves was dead so I clipped it off. Is that okay?
