Black leaf on dendrobium

I have a small cane that broke off a larger Dendrobium Hollywood a while back. I managed to save it through bag and sphag. I was trying to get it to transition to less humidity to avoid having to take it out of the medium and clean the fuzzy white mold off. While leaving it uncovered a few hours each day worked to control the mold, I noticed there is a new problem now. The newest leaf turned black on the edges, rest of the leaf is darker than the others, and the cane looks shriveled.

Should I remove the whole leaf? What do I do to save it? I have before pictures so you have something to compare against in this thread: http://www.orchidboard.com/community...-growth-2.html
