Default Leaves curling inward .... Help !

I have a Mounted Aerangis luteo-alba v. rhodosticta
and the leaves are curling inward. I don't know if this is from overwatering/underwatering or temps or low humidity. I water, spray, soak and have a humidifer going in the area......

I'm totally confused here ....

Can anyone help me with this ?

Thanks.

I don't know the first thing about this plant, but noticed, no-one had responded yet so decided to look in OrchidWiz. The Baker's culture sheet is available there but I can't copy and paste any of it as it's not allowing me to. There is a huge amount of reading there. One thing it says that when they are mounted on tree-fern slabs, they don't grow as well as when on cork slabs with a sphagnum base. Not sure what yours is mounted on.

It also mentions that they should be misted daily in the morning, but also that they do have drier conditions in winter and should be kept dryer, but not totally dry. Winter temps are suggested at low 70's during the day and mid 50's at night.

I hope that helps. Maybe someone who grows these will see your thread. You could look up the Baker's culture sheets...Aahhh, I just checked and in their free samples, is this plant, so here is the link. You don't even have to pay for this one as they offer some of the less common ones for free to sample It is very thorough info. Good luck!

It can be both under or overwatering. Hard to tell as always pictures help. My mother grows here in pots filled with wine corks. They seem to do fine like this. So a good draining slab / medium seem crucial.

Yes, please!

Usually it's harder to overwater a mounted orchid than to underwater, so I'd guess if the roots on yours are healthy that it may not be getting enough moisture.

I almost killed mine. It's planted in a small vanda basket in CHC. I think I was underwatering it. At one point all the leaves turned black and fell off one by one! The roots still looked good so I kept watering it, and it's slowly begun to grow new leaves. I think it may be time for some fresh media.

Mine are all MOUNTED, and the roots look good, they are not mush or black........so I think it may be Underwatering and Low Humidity.
Thanks again...
