Orchid Revival Needed Fast!
A few of my coworkers and I have confiscated a Leopard Prince Orchid that was being neglected and we believe is on its' last leg...oh no!!! We have watered her, fed her and named her Lilly. She looks a bit wilted but have noticed in the last couple of days she has perked up a little bit. The stem was completely dry so we cut it off. Any hope of reviving this poor little soul? Any input will be helpful!! We are in SE Texas.

Have you repotted her and/ or had a look at her roots? It might be the case that, if her roots aren't that great or that many, she's in a pot that's going to be too big (e.g. the medium won't dry out fast enough in between waterings)
BTW I love that you have named her! All mine have and my boyfriend always laughs at me when I refer to them 'by name'

Lilly has established roots, we can clearly see...and we are going to a nearby nursery to get some orchid soil so we can repot her...Our other co-workers think we're funny for naming her...its too funny!

Sounds as if she's going to be very well looked after now I'm a little concerned by your use of 'soil' here. Your phal. orchid grows on tress in the wild and so they like to be able to 'breath' in their pots. Any kind of 'soil' is far too heavy for this so most people use bark mixes or (like me) straight bark. That way, drainage is good and so is air circulation in the pot. There are lots of posts relating to this on OB, so it wouldn't hurt to have a look before you buy and re-pot Good Luck

We bought an Orchid mix, which includes bark, not soil. So hopefully Lilly will be happy!!!
