Default Vanda winter preparation

Hello Everyone,

I知 starting to plan out my winter arrangements for my orchids and wanted some advice for my newly acquired Vandas. I have two will very long roots systems. I plan to hang them near a south facing window (with sheer curtains), but I知 concerned the roots might be damaged if they are allowed to hang freely. I have limited space and other orchids will be underneath them on humidity trays. I was thinking about wrapping the roots around their baskets and securing them with nylon pantyhose. Do you think this will harm the roots? If I soak them first, I知 hoping they will be flexible enough to manipulate.

Thanks!

Al my vanda's roots hang free, outside all the time. They do great that way. I wouldn't wrap them up in anything. Are they going to be folding over on the floor or something. Not real sure I understand.

I have seen when people have rolled the roots up on Vandas with long roots before. But if they are not getting in the way or drying out too quick then it would probably cause more harm than good. but that is just my
