CLR works better than anything else. And it's safe - it's been used for this purpose for over twenty years by myself and a few others.

lemon juice works well - and I have heard milk does too

Double ditto on the lemon/lime juice! Disolves everything! & It takes the white salt marks off.
On the leaf shine subject
Milk in my experience 'shines' the leaves
& also mayonnaise really shines up the leaves. (I read this on this Board )
I have tried mayo once as I took a flowered Phal to the office for the 'reception area' -so thought I had to make it look as good as poss.. & It Worked too!!!!!!
Although I do not do 'it' on my plants at home. (I have a mind set it blocks the pores? )
