Default I must have too many orchids.

So I was giving my 'chids some individual attention this morning and I discovered a Masdevalia Angel Heart in full bloom!
I must have too many if I missed this little darling in spike and then in flower

Oh wow! That's awesome Connie! I have on occasion found some spikes already near a foot long I had missed - when you aren't expecting them, you don't look for them, so can miss them I guess. That said - it is funny you missed this! but maybe the spikes on these grow quickly ?
Anyway - congrats on the blooms!

You can never have too many orchids--it's just a matter of finding the time to care for them, lol. And your Masd. is gorgeous!! Congratulations of your great growing!!

It's a wonderful surprise when you find an unexpected bloom or spike. I have been waiting for a certain phrag to bloom for two or three years and the other day I found a four inch spike with a big bud on top. I never saw it coming, but YIPPEE. I can share your feeling...

Let's see- I've given each one a number as I've gotten it. So I sold/killed/gave away 5; One produced a keiki, and one is really six seedlings.
So, at number 76, I guess I have.........78. Did I mention that I have OCD?
