I just bought a Howard Dream, in a six inch pot and it had recently been stepped up from a 4 inch, because the 4 inch pot shape was bark and charcoal and the rest was spag stuffed in around it. Sounds like the same idea they just didn't remove your pot. Yours, looks good and healthy you shouldn't have any problems.

I'll be sure to post a photo series of the extraction so that you can see what I mean when I say that the roots are "swallowing" the smaller pot. It's really quite something.
In the interim, the first two blooms have opened up and I couldn't resist the urge to share. I'll post a few more pics when all of the buds are open. I really like the color and the pattern - I just wish that the lip didn't have that bit of a curl to it. Am I being overly critical? I feel like that's a really picky comment.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy and thanks again!

Just a touch, I think.
My the blooms of my current flowering catt are amazingly flat---I was like, "wow, look at you and your flat blooms, you go girl." I may enter it for show someday.

Just a few more pics now that she's opened up a bit more.

Should the earliest flowers already be falling off already?
Every day or so a new flower opens up toward the end of the spike - there's really only 3 or 4 buds left now, everything else is an open flower. It's a beaut. But I've noticed that a few of the first flowers to open are already drying out and falling off. Is this normal for beallaras? Those blooms are only 2 or 2.5 weeks old. That seems like a short bit of time, but I'm new to the world of beallaras so I don't know if this is something that I should be concerned with.
I'm having a heck of a time getting the medium to fully dry out - the skewer that I have as my moisture meeter is always somewhat damp due to the potting setup and the odd mix from C&H. Could this be contributing to the short bloom length? I'm itching to swap out the potting medium to something more conventional and try to free this one from the confines of the smaller pot - but I wanted to wait for the blooms to finish. Now I'm worried that by not acting I'm contributing to premature bloom failure.
Help! I need the beallara experts out there to point me in the right direction.
Thanks - sorry for being so needy in this post. :O
