If you do experiment, do it with only one or two plants. Experimenting is fun, and makes the growing process more interesting. Also, when you see a different method or different advice, take notice of what area of the world that advice is coming from. What works in California might not necessarily work in Texas, Florida or in Maine or even in Australia or the UK.
