Phal question :\ please help!
Hi. I have a Phalaenops Kung's Green Star. I brought it home about a month ago. it has been doing fine aside from black spots on the place where the pollen is held ( excuse my lack of orchid atanomy knowledge). ( but i am adressing that in a separate thread already)
when i got it, it had 7 blooms. it now has 14 blooms one of the new blooms seems to be perloric. but very slightly and only on one petal does it have extra "stuff". - pic 1
on another of the new blooms, is missing ( i think its what its called, please correct me ) one of its sepals. - pic 2
And!! i think i see a new spike comming!! do you think its a spike? -the pic will be up soon

Ok, your previous pics were attachments, so I'm going to assume you want the same method again.
Start a reply to this thread and click the 'Go Advanced' button at the bottom. There will be an 'Additional Options' red bar down below the box you type in. One of the options in that is 'Manage Attachements'. That opens a window which lets you choose attachment files (up to 10). Once you have chosen them from your PC click the 'Upload' button and it should go away and take some time loading the pics, then come back to the screen you type the message in.
Submit your reply and there you are.

Just checked and the same options down below the place you type should be available on a new post as well.

Phals don't always develop perfectly. Even under the best of conditions. On the other hand problems with humidity levels lighting etc.. may have contributed to the missing parts.
I would not worry about it since there is nothing you can do to change this flowering, and it doesnt look like pest troubles. For the future just keep it as best you can. Seems as though you are doing a good job of it already but getting the number of flowers to double.
Now what black spots are you referring to, I did not see them in the picture.

I didnt see your separate thread on this so I figured I would post this here.
The link is a video I made a few months ago about the parts of orchid flowers, I used a Phal as the subject. Hope it helps.
