What do You Use for Water?
I am sorry for this very stupid question. I was wondering if tap or bottle water is better from orchids? If it makes a difference I have decided to grow a phalaenopsis. Thank you so much!

I use tap water myself. I know some types of orchids DO need bottled water, or rain water, or RO (reverse osmosis) water. Tap should be fine for a Phal. But some people DO prefer using bottled, rain, or RO for all their orchids. Do not used SOFTENED water tho ...

I have really hard water and mix 1/2 tap to 1/2 rain.
It really depends on your water quality. Phals are not as "picky" as some of the other orchids.

I use rain water with a dash of tap . Water here is not that good if used as the sole source it turns the leaves whitish ..

Bottled spring water often contains higher levels of dissolved solids than does tap water, so is usually not a good substitute, unless your tap water has stuff in it that's toxic to plants, like chloramines.

Oh wow I did not relize the chlorimines were toxic to plants ...should have I guess since they kill fish fast DUH.
It is just crazy what they will put in our drinking water these days and then wonder why cancer is rampant...

I use bottled distilled water from the supermarket. I was getting too many burned roots and mineral deposits on pots using tap water, so I decided to make the switch a year ago. I've got a modest collection (about 150 plants), and go through three or four one-gallon bottles a week. At a buck apiece, it's not going to break the bank and it's better for my plants.
