Vanda orchid roots with cracks

your vanda lacks humidity.. try putting them on shade... u bought it in purificacion i think!!! hahaha! anyway... usually when i buy new vandas i place them in shade part... no worries its the adjustment... once you see new roots and the top most part is growing then its time to put them outside good luck!

try watering them morning and afternoon before 4.. its hot in manila... just make sure it's before 4... and make sure the water isnt hot. you can start collecting rain water ! and rooting hormone will help as well!

weekly i would also give them a good spray of fertiliser.... I myself use 21-21-21+TE on my Orchids and they grow well.

To make higher humidity i have put cut 12" pvc pipes under the rows of my Orchids and filled with water (usually the sprinkler system keeps them filled)....works well.

Our weather climates are almost similar so i can also be of help at times
