I don't have a name for it, I bought the 2 at different places and there was no tag on it.

I must say I understand your problem with your wife, my other half has no interest in gardening or plants. We currently cant eat on our dinner table and I pick up another 13 orchids tomorrow. The last excuse I used was I bought them to kill them!!!! Unfortunately something went horribly wrong and they are thriving and putting out new roots in semi hydro.... I have my eye on a few more I want.

Well I picked up another 13 today I had ordered. He was quite happy that they were smaller than he expected. I am really tempted though to go back and pick up this beautiful Vanda I saw. Unfortunately he was there and made me leave with what I had ordered. (None in flower, I feel kind of cheated). There was another one that smelt like chocolate....... I think I am pushing my look for a few weeks. But I think you are right she probably wont notice. Maybe ask for a dedicated room.

Nibbler - I have to fight to bring new orchids into my house too. I recently told my husband that I needed a hobby that wasn't taking care of him (or anything to do with him) I have also started having orchids delivered to my work. He always asks when I bring them home where they came from. I just tell him they are work orchids and not to worry.

I think I'll have to try the "I bought them to kill them" excuse since I can't seem to grow anything other then orchids sucessfully. He'd believe that one.

I dont think he would accept the delivery to work excuse. Hmmmmm I will have to think up something new. But I am planning on sticking to miniatures for a while as I dont think he will pick up on it so easily..... the phals take up a lot of space. He dragged me out of the show on Saturday. I was about to buy a beautiful Vanda. I cant stop thinking about it.

Geeze! I guess I'm lucky. My husband loves my plants. He says they make the house feel good. He doesn't want to have to take care of them but I probably wouldn't like it if he did.

I wouldn't take him to a show though...or a grower. He'd be whining that he was bored and make me leave before I was ready.

Don't take him to craft stores either....or clothes shopping...or any other store that doesn't have an electronics dept to keep him busy while I shop!
