It's cinnamon and it works really well. Just put some on the affected areas and it dries right out.

I bought a funguscide, I thought it had been working. I dont think its available. I am really limited in what I have access too. They sell Orchids but nothing to support their growth. I took the approach of boiling the bark. Trimmed off the not so pleasent parts of the roots and replanted two of them but the other one is I think gone. I cant understand how three are healthy and one is spiking and then the other three are not? How do I know if I am over watering or underwatering. I would think that I amnt because three are fine. Should I change to Semi Hydro. Would that be safer?

For those in Europe who want Physan, check out your pool supply stores as Physan is one brand of pool algaecide.
Not all algaecide are the same so check the chemical label and match it to Physan.
That said I am not a fan of Physan. I think it is very ineffective and does absolutely nothing for fungus. It has minor value for bacteria but H2O2 works just as well and cheaper.
I only use pool chlorine )Physan formula) for sterilizing my used pots and I soak my potting mediums in it prior to potting..

Thanks for that. I just washed them in soap and water as I was worried anything else may leave a residue and damage the plant. - They are in a bad enough state as it is.

Nibbler, with orchids, the fact that the plant is spiking or blooming is not the best indicator of it's health.
For better indicators, you must pay closer attention to the plant itself (i.e. the leaves, stems, and roots).
A plant's flowers are just it's reproductive organs.
I don't mean to be crude, but using flowers as an indicator of health is like looking at a person's genitalia when they've contracted the flu and saying, "They have their genitals intact, aren't they healthy? I mean all the parts are there, they've gotta be healthy!"

Nibbler,
A humidifier is only needed if the area where your orchids are located is really dry. For the plant with minimal roots make a humidity dome using a (clear)bag or a large clear jar or even an aquarium. You just want to keep the humidity up around this plant. Maybe have some clay pellets, or stones(mot limestone) or glass pebbles sitting in a tray of water under the plant.
Some chids no matter what you try will not make it. Good luck with yours.

I don't know if this will help you or kill your plant for good
I have a phal with no roots (after cutting off all the bad ones). I put it in a vase of water with just the ass end in the water. I don't have any roots yet, but, the plant itself is already looking better.
