Default Help!!

What's wrong with this Orchid? I just obtained it last week and the spots have appeared recently. It's in my Orchidarium with the rest of the crew.

I'll post two pictures and one will be sideways on purpose so you can read the type of Orchid it is.

I am not sure what it is.
Could it be possible that it is water quality?

I don't think so. I use well water and we have wonderful water, my other orchids love it. Could this be caused by a virus??? I'm worried in case it spreds to the rest of my orchids.

I'm not sure what it is. But I'm sure that you have to isolate all suspicious plants immediately and then watch them. But I'm afraid that it is a virus too.

What happened with the tips of the leaves? Looks like somebody bit them.

It is fine , the spots are sometimes the result of higher light then it was getting, it is actually pigment in the leaf .
I have a couple of the same type, reduce the light and they go away , does not look like any kind of a fungus ect. . Happy Growing Gin

Unfortunately it was like that when I got it so I'm not sure what caused the "bite" marks. I looked it over carefully and haven't seen any bugs. The "spots" aren't getting worse. How do viruses progress?

Thanks Gin. So I gave it a little sunburn, eh? I'll take your advise and move it farther from the light source. Thanks again everyone for the great info. I love this forrum.
