Orchid Species / Propagation Question
Default Specific Orchid Species Questions

Hi, this is my first post here, and I am not sure if it should go here, but here it is:

Before this, I had grown a lot of orchids (paph, phrag, tricopilia, brassia, dendros, vandas, et c.) mostly under lights and in terrariums, and then I had to sell them because I moved. I am about to start growing again under lights (2x24 watt T5 with a window as well with adjustable shelves and fans, so the orchids can be as close as 2 inches away). However, now I have 1) no way to control overall temperature besides fans (no a.c.) and 2) no way to exactly control humidity.

I have come up with a list of orchids that I have not grown and which fit most of my requirements, and as a final check I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with any of these (grows easily, needs/ does not need high humidity, needs more light than I thought). Thank you so much for your time and help. Here is the list:

Oncidium incurvum
Maxillaria buchtienii
Masdevallia floribunda
Epidendrum capricornu
Encyclia radiata
Cymbidium ensifolium
Coelogyne barbata
Calanthe ceciliae (silvatica)
Bulbophyllum dearei

Thanks for reading.

Cym ensifolium likes a lot of sun. It takes the heat and cold well, but needs some high light to bloom.

What's the propagation question?

Oh, there was going to be one, but then I apparently forgot to write it in. I will just take it away. My mind appears to be in summer mode.

Thank you for your help with that. I appreciate it.
