Phal done blooming
Default Phal done blooming

Hey everyone,

My phal has finished blooming, the last flower has begun to close. Now, what do I do with the stalks? I thought I'd ask before cutting them off. Thanks!

Let it turn yellow and dry out before cutting.

I tend to cut them off. It tends to be a matter of preference with Phals as to whether you leave them until they are yellow/dry or cut them straight away.

If you leave them you may get more flowers sooner, but it can be good to let the plant rest ready for a bigger better flowering later.
