I had been noticeing some lighter spots on the leaves before, but i look at it today and its suddenly gotten where the spots are bright yellow! help! is this a fungus? it was recently repotted. i checked to see if it was mushy and the leaf around where i checked instantly go darker around where i tested

Yes, could be fungus or could be leaf rot. I would treat mine with Thiomyl if it looked like this. I have been fortunate to stop some beginning leaf rot that way. If it is not rot, the Thiomyl won't hurt.
