Wrinkly leaves and white mold on roots... Female
Default

On one of the leaves, the damage did spread. This morning, the whole leaf had pretty much turned to green goo. In fact, when I touch it, it just started falling apart. I removed the leaf at the base and covered the cut with cinnamon. The spot on the other leaf doesn't appear to be getting any bigger, so I think I'll leave it for now. I checked the roots today and they're all fine, so there are no problems there. Is this something that could spread? Should I keep it away from my other orchids?

Thanks!

That tells me that it's a bacterial or fungal infection - again likely having nothing to do with watering.

I think you did the right thing with the surgery and cinnamon.

Complete isolation is probably unwarranted, but don't let the plant touch others or allow water to splash or drip from one to another.
